Update August 2017- due to the recent Brian Head fire, Yankee Meadow is closed INDEFINITELY. Perhaps up to 5 years. So very sad; it was our favorite place to visit in southern Utah.

Quiet & serene. It's off the beaten path, so it's not very crowded. Is accessible via passenger car, good dirt road.

Great place to tent or trailer camp the camp host was pretty cool! Decent fishing

Yankee Meadows and Yankee Meadows Reservoir is below Brian Head and above Parowan in Utah. I’ve done a lot of camping up here and it’s an excellent place to go fishing, hiking, ATVing, or just hang out and have fun. One of the largest campfires I’ve ever had was in Yankee Meadows. Once inside the area, you’ll discover large Open Fields full of green grass, flowers, and little Creeks that run all along through it. There are also thick forest areas where you will see lots of deer. I’ve never been in this area where I haven’t seen at least a dozen deer per trip. At the reservoir, the lake is small, but there is a boat ramp and restaurants, and fishing is excellent. Get here early, as it usually gets a little crowded. If you are camping in the area, expect freak summer snow storms. It is happened to us several times. Go to sleep under clear Dark Skies, and wake up in six inches of snow… it was fun! If you’re not into camping, the small town of Parowan is just below you, and the ski resorts of Brian Head or just above you. I’ll have plenty of hotels.

I absolutely love Yankee Meadows. We camp there every summer. The restrooms at the campground are clean and don't smell. The camp sites are spread out so your no to close to other campers. It's beautiful. There are free sites as well closer to the lake..but no campfires are allowed. There are also free spots along the little creek. Very Refreshing and beautiful. !

Always the best place to camp but get there early because no reserved spots.
